Dr. Piccolo

Dr. Piccolo attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he earned both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982, he began working and has been practicing dentistry in Scottsdale since 1985.

Dr. Piccolo believes in continuing education and is honored to be a member of many dental groups. He belongs to the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Equilibration Society (AES), Arizona Dental Association(AZDA), American Academy of Cranial Facial Pain (AACFP), American Headache Society (AHS) and is a participating member of local study clubs. Dr. Piccolo also received fellowship status for the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He currently is a peer review and mediator for the Arizona Dental Association.

Dr. Piccolo has also received training at the L.D. Pankey Institute. This prestigious postgraduate program strives to “treat patients at the highest level of current knowledge and care” to provide patients with optimal oral health – a philosophy Dr. Piccolo has personally adopted. The Institute provides hand-on training, where he has mastered his skills in TMJ therapy and periodontal prosthetics.

In 2012, Dr. Piccolo started his residency in dental sleep medicine at UCLA. He then went on to continue a residency in implant surgery in 2014. He finished up his residencies in 2017 at the University of Tennessee in Memphis in TMJ, oral facial pain and dental sleep medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Piccolo volunteers at the John. C. Lincoln Children’s Clinic. He also enjoys playing baseball and golf. He also spends time water skiing and hiking with his two sons, Matthew and Chad.


Dr. Wais

Dr. Thomas Wais has been practicing dentistry for over 44 years. He has extensive training in multiple areas of dentistry allowing him to provide a large range of services for patients to accomplish the oral health they need.

He is dedicated to providing workable solutions to your dental needs including dental problem or financial concerns. Dr. Wais has been married for 45 years to his wife Marian. He enjoys spending time with his 3 children and grandchildren. Besides spending time with family, Dr. Wais loves to ski and golf.


Amber, RDH

Amber had wanted to become a dental hygienist since high school after forming a great relationship with the dental hygienist at her dentist’s office. Upon graduating high school, Amber decided against studying dental hygiene and instead received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduating college Amber worked on a farm and realized she wanted to go back to school to study her passion. Amber received her associates in science with a concentration in dental hygiene

Amber is loves meeting and working with new people and is now an experienced dental hygienist after working with Dr. Piccolo and team for almost four years. When not working, Amber enjoys spending her free time with her four rescue animals, playing bridge, painting, or learning how to play the ukulele.


Angelee, RDH

After graduating with a concentration in public health and receiving her associates in dental hygiene, Ange’s dental career began in 2000 in the foothills of Utah where she grew up. In 2004, Ange relocated to the valley of Arizona and continued following her passion of dental hygiene which led her to join Dr. Piccolo. Her goal as a dental hygienist is to provide detailed, personalized, and quality care to each patient that visits their office.

In her free time, Ange enjoys spending quality time with her family, staying active, traveling, and watching football. During football season, don’t be surprised if you see her at the University of Phoenix football stadium cheering on the Arizona Cardinals.

Angelee believes if the eyes are the window to one’s soul, a person’s smile should be considered a reflections of their health and well-being.
