Dr. Piccolo attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he earned both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982, he began working and has been practicing dentistry in Scottsdale since 1985.
Dr. Piccolo believes in continuing education and is honored to be a member of many dental groups. He belongs to the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Equilibration Society (AES), Arizona Dental Association(AZDA), American Academy of Cranial Facial Pain (AACFP), American Headache Society (AHS) and is a participating member of local study clubs. Dr. Piccolo also received fellowship status for the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He currently is a peer review and mediator for the Arizona Dental Association.
Dr. Piccolo has also received training at the L.D. Pankey Institute. This prestigious postgraduate program strives to “treat patients at the highest level of current knowledge and care” to provide patients with optimal oral health – a philosophy Dr. Piccolo has personally adopted. The Institute provides hand-on training, where he has mastered his skills in TMJ therapy and periodontal prosthetics.
In 2012, Dr. Piccolo started his residency in dental sleep medicine at UCLA. He then went on to continue a residency in implant surgery in 2014. He finished up his residencies in 2017 at the University of Tennessee in Memphis in TMJ, oral facial pain and dental sleep medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Piccolo volunteers at the John. C. Lincoln Children’s Clinic. He also enjoys playing baseball and golf. He also spends time water skiing and hiking with his two sons, Matthew and Chad.
Dr. Thomas Wais has been practicing dentistry for over 44 years. He has extensive training in multiple areas of dentistry allowing him to provide a large range of services for patients to accomplish the oral health they need.

Dr. Wais has been married for 45 years to his wife Marian. He enjoys spending time with his 3 children and grandchildren. Besides spending time with family, Dr. Wais loves to ski and golf.
Dr. Dave Eccker received his undergraduate degree in Biology from San Diego State University before going on to earn his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky. During his third year of dental school, Dr. Eccker was selected for a military scholarship though the US Army Reserves. Dr. Eccker has been actively involved in the reserves and received an award from the Lexington Medical Recruiting center for his involvement in helping medical and dental students understand what the Army could do for them. Additionally, Dr. Eccker was recognized by the University Of Kentucky Department Of Endodontics and awarded Excellence in Endodontics.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Eccker was a practicing mechanic and worked for the San Diego Padres. He just rebuilt a 2005 Suzuki RM250 and is always looking for another project. If you have a passion for motocross/supercross you better extend your appointment because you two will be chatting for awhile!
He believes his passion for dentistry stems from his interest in mechanics, as he has found the two industries to be quite similar. In the office, Dr. Eccker is looking forward to connecting with each of his patients on an individual level – he truly enjoys getting to hear everyone’s unique story!
When he is not hard at work in the office, Dr. Eccker enjoys are variety of hobbies including motocross, mechanics, Ping-Pong, playing PUBG and collecting rare bourbon!
Dr. Maria Goff earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Western Kentucky University. She went on to attend the University of Kentucky where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. While in school, Dr Goff earned an award from the American Equilibration Society for her knowledge in the field of occlusion and the temporomandibular joint.
Dr. Goff enjoys helping her patients feel comfortable and happy, both in the dental office, and with their smile. Dr Goff enjoys staying up to date in the dental field by attending continuing education courses and participating in online forums. At your next appointment, make sure to have pictures of your dogs to show Dr. Goff because she has two fur babies of her own! She is always looking for new places to take her dogs and let them run free.
Outside of the office, Dr. Goff enjoys taking her jeep to the desert, traveling, and reading in her free time.
Amber had wanted to become a dental hygienist since high school after forming a great relationship with the dental hygienist at her dentist’s office. Upon graduating high school, Amber decided against studying dental hygiene and instead received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduating college Amber worked on a farm and realized she wanted to go back to school to study her passion. Amber received her associates in science with a concentration in dental hygiene
Amber is loves meeting and working with new people and is now an experienced dental hygienist after working with Dr. Piccolo and team for almost four years. When not working, Amber enjoys spending her free time with her four rescue animals, playing bridge, painting, or learning how to play the ukulele.
After graduating with a concentration in public health and receiving her associates in dental hygiene, Ange’s dental career began in 2000 in the foothills of Utah where she grew up. In 2004, Ange relocated to the valley of Arizona and continued following her passion of dental hygiene which led her to join Dr. Piccolo. Her goal as a dental hygienist is to provide detailed, personalized, and quality care to each patient that visits their office.
In her free time, Ange enjoys spending quality time with her family, staying active, traveling, and watching football. During football season, don’t be surprised if you see her at the University of Phoenix football stadium cheering on the Arizona Cardinals.
